Job Summary
The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting daily financial and accounting operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements. This role involves handling routine accounting tasks, assisting in financial reporting, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Handle full set of basic accounting functions including AP, AR, and General Ledger
- Process and verify staff claims, supplier invoices, and payments
- Assist in monthly financial reporting and schedules
- Support tax-related matters (SST, LHDN submissions)
- Assist in audit preparation and documentation
- Perform bank reconciliation and monitor cash flow
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, vendors, and internal departments
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned
Education
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience (fresh grads with internship exposure may apply)
- Knowledge in AP, AR, GL, and basic accounting principles
- Familiar with Malaysian statutory requirements (LHDN, SST)
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Candidates with experience in RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) system will be given priority
